Non-Invasive Brain Tumor Treatment: The ZAP-X Difference

For patients and their families, ZAP-X offers greater comfort and confidence than traditional brain cancer and brain tumor treatment options. The ZAP-X self-shielding technology enables in-suite brain tumor treatment, eliminating the inconvenience and discomfort of being transported to an isolated radiation vault. Self-shielding confines radiation to the treatment site, making it safer for both the patient and the clinical team.

ZAP-X is designed exclusively for the non-invasive treatment of brain tumors and head and neck conditions. With ZAP-X technology, our team of neuro-oncology physicians at Barrow Brain & Spine are able to deliver effective radiation with incredible accuracy via computer-controlled robotics that reduce the risk of healthy tissue being exposed to radiation.

The outpatient procedure does not require anesthesia, and most patients require no recovery time, allowing them to immediately return to their normal lifestyle and activities.
