Physical Therapist Biography
Shane was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He then graduated from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012.
He has been practicing in the orthopedic setting since 2013 in addition to part time in the inpatient hospital setting. He was enthusiastic to join the Barrow organization in September of 2019 as a staff Physical Therapist at the RIOS location.
He takes an eclectic approach to Physical Therapy, including the manual therapy of myofascial release and joint manipulation in addition to functional strength and conditioning tailored to the individual needs of the patient. He is currently pursuing his interests of continuing education in visceral mobilization. His holistic approach to Physical Therapy takes into account that each individual patient may find success differently. He is certified in advanced techniques for Trigger Point Dry Needling.
Outside of physical therapy and enjoying the company of family and friends, his personal interests largely center on his passion for landscape photography. This includes hiking locally, exploring National Parks, trekking internationally, and snowboarding.
