At Barrow Brain and Spine, we do our best to answer any insurance or payment procedure questions, so you can focus on your treatment and recovery. Our administrative and support team is ready and willing to help ensure you understand the financial side of your medical care.

We work with a wide range of insurance providers within our network. Take a look at some of the plans we commonly work with below:

  • Medicare Part B
  • Mercy Care at the Phoenix and Chandler locations
  • MultiPlan/AMN/RAN
  • United Healthcare

There are also a few we don’t currently work with:

  • Healthnet
  • Humana
  • All Medicare replacements other than Cigna
  • Tricare/Triwest

Pay Your Bill Online

Through our safe and secure third-party bill pay platform, you can pay your medical bill with your credit card or checking account. Here, you can also access your patient records, billing history and more.

Understanding Your Bill

Having a clear understanding of how to read your medical bills empowers you to make informed decisions about your treatment, and helps facilitate conversations with your insurance provider or Barrow staff, should you have questions. Here are the important elements to know on your bill:

  • Statement Date: Let’s you know when the bill was sent.
  • Patient ID: This number is unique to you. You may be required to provide this number should you have questions about your bill.
  • Online Bill Pay Code: This number is needed to log in to your statement online so that you can make a payment.
  • Payment Due Date:  This is the date your payment is due.
  • Date of service: Indicates when you received the specified service listed on your bill.
  • Description: A brief summary of the services provided.
  • Charges: The amount of services billed.
  • Payments/Adjustments: Reflects any payments or adjustments applied to your charges.
  • Patient Responsibility: This amount reflects what you owe after insurance has paid its portion, and is due on the billing date reflected.
  • Total Account Balance Owed: This is the total amount owed by both you and the insurance company combined.  You do not need to pay this amount at this billing date.
